Uzbekistan special forces will participate in the military exercises called “Endless Brotherhood” to be held in Azerbaijan in September this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These exercises will take place on an international scale and will also involve military personnel from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Qatar, and Pakistan. According to Kerim Veliev, Chief of the General Staff of Azerbaijan, a total of 30 military exercises are planned in the country for 2025.
These exercises are aimed at strengthening regional security and developing military cooperation. According to the Global Firepower report, the Azerbaijani army ranked 60th worldwide this year.
Their armed forces include more than 126,000 military personnel, over 300 tanks, and nearly 80 aircraft. Uzbekistan, meanwhile, holds the 58th position in this ranking and spends 2.8 billion dollars annually on defense.
Currently, about 48,000 military personnel serve in the country's armed forces. This information was provided by the Kursiv.media website.
The military exercises serve to exchange experience and enhance multilateral cooperation. Additionally, the participation of Uzbekistan's special forces in such international events positively impacts the country's defense capabilities.
