The participation of women-led enterprises in economic processes in Uzbekistan is significantly increasing. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the data from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics for the end of 2024, more than 20,000 small enterprises and microfirms led by women managers earned a total net profit of 4.2 trillion soums. This indicator is a clear evidence of the efficiency and development of women entrepreneurship.
During the reporting period, one enterprise showed an average net profit of 202.6 million soums. This figure demonstrates that businesses led by women have their place in the market and their activities are competitive.
According to experts, favorable conditions and opportunities created by the state play an important role in achieving such results. In particular, financial credits allocated for women, grants, tax benefits, and entrepreneurship support programs facilitate doing business.
Women-led enterprises operate in various sectors of the national economy, including services, manufacturing, trade, agriculture, and education. This indicates the strengthening role of women in social and economic processes.
