
In Uzbekistan, a total of 4.2 million pensioners were paid pensions amounting to 6.7 trillion soums in August 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was provided by the Pension Fund. The largest number of pensioners was in Samarkand region with 443.3 thousand, and in Fergana region with 494.1 thousand.
More than 700 billion soums in pension funds were allocated to each of these regions in August. Across the republic, the highest pension payments were made to 371.9 thousand pensioners in the city of Tashkent, totaling 823.9 billion soums.
The fewest pensioners were in Sirdaryo region, where 175.9 billion soums were allocated for 107.2 thousand pensioners. In Jizzakh region, 218.9 billion soums were paid to 143.1 thousand pensioners.
Pension payments and the number of pensioners in other regions are as follows: in Tashkent region, 670.7 billion soums for 377.9 thousand pensioners; in Andijan region, 541.1 billion soums for 391.8 thousand; in Kashkadarya region, 596.3 billion soums for 376.7 thousand; in Namangan region, 449.9 billion soums for 328.7 thousand; in Bukhara region, 433.2 billion soums for 263.8 thousand; in Surkhandarya region, 413.8 billion soums for 281.6 thousand; in Khorezm region, 349.8 billion soums for 228.9 thousand; in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 355 billion soums for 222.9 thousand; and in Navoi region, 289 billion soums were allocated to 140 thousand pensioners. It should be noted that these figures do not fully cover all pensioners in the country.
Because pensioners' lists and payments in the law enforcement agencies system are maintained separately. Also, as of August 28, 2025, it was announced that the total population of Uzbekistan has exceeded 38 million (source: Pension Fund).
