The government of Uzbekistan has adopted a new decision. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, it is mandatory to install water metering devices in underground water intake facilities. This procedure is carried out through state service centers or the unified interactive state services portal.
The owner of the underground water facility must legally register their object. According to the decision, the use of underground water facilities without installed water metering devices is prohibited.
Every liter of water must be accounted for, which allows for monitoring water consumption and effective management. In addition, the installed metering devices must be only standard and certified devices included in the state register of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In pumped wells, water metering devices are installed before the flow control device, while in fountain wells and springs, they are installed after the control device. This procedure aims to prevent irregularities in the water supply system.
When providing state services, a fee amounting to 50 percent of the established base calculation amount for management services is charged. This serves to increase owners' responsibility and financially support the services.
Regional hydrogeological stations as well as district and city tax inspections register and seal the list of facilities with installed water metering devices within 10 days based on a survey. This procedure ensures the effective use of underground water resources within the framework of legal requirements.
