The Tashkent city administration has implemented new technical measures to increase transparency in market trading processes and prevent artificial price inflation of products. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Recently, complaints have increased on social networks about products being sold at higher prices than those announced at some trading stalls. Therefore, it became necessary to prevent illegal price increases in markets where discounted products are sold and to ensure transparency in trading processes.
According to the administration, the installation of surveillance cameras at the Mirobod farmer's market and Eski Juva (Chorsu) market has been fully completed. Now, with the help of this modern control system, irregularities in the trade sector, illegal additional charges, and unfair actions towards consumers will be prevented.
Within the framework of this project, other major and significant markets in the capital will also be gradually equipped with surveillance cameras. These measures serve to monitor trade relations in markets and create a safe and comfortable environment for buyers.
