In Uzbekistan, it may be prohibited to photograph or video record people without their consent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Kursiv.media. On September 8, party factions discussed this draft law in the Legislative Chamber.
According to the draft, a person's image can only be used with their consent. If the person is legally incapacitated, their representative gives consent.
For children under 16 years old, consent is given by parents or guardians; if the person is 16 years or older, the adolescent makes the decision themselves. Additionally, the draft law mandates the installation of warning signs about video surveillance in buildings and facilities.
The list of cases where photography without consent is allowed will also be clarified. After the factions' discussion, the draft will be put to a first reading and later sent to the Senate and the President for signature.
