FIFA opens Central Asia office in Tashkent
FIFA plans to open a new office for the Central Asia region in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by Kursiv.media. This agreement was reached during a meeting between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

At the meeting, Infantino congratulated the Uzbekistan national team on qualifying for the World Cup. During the dialogue, issues of expanding cooperation with FIFA to further improve the football management and organization system were discussed.

Additionally, new initiatives to widely promote and develop football among youth were considered. FIFA also announced its support for the establishment of a football center in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Gianni Infantino the "Friendship" medal for his services in developing football on the international stage. Infantino also participated in the Olympic Village in the capital and the CAFA 2025 final.
