An important innovation has been introduced in the digitalization of medical services in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, medicines that are only dispensed based on a prescription will be prescribed exclusively through electronic prescriptions. This procedure is established in a specially approved regulation.
Medicines prescribed based on electronic prescriptions must be registered in Uzbekistan. The attending physician enters the necessary patient information into the information system used in the medical institution.
Then this information is automatically transferred to the “Electronic Medical Record” module. The doctor creates an electronic prescription for the patient and prescribes the medicines.
The prescription is approved in electronic form and a QR code is automatically added to it. All necessary information is stored in the “Electronic Prescription” module.
Additionally, doctors will have the ability to monitor the dispensing process of the prescribed medicines. That is, which medicines have been given to the patient and their circulation will be fully controlled.
Most importantly, all information related to the electronic prescription is recorded in the patient's personal electronic medical record. This allows doctors to obtain complete information about the patient's treatment process and previously taken medicines.
Thus, the quality of medical services will improve and the illegal circulation of medicines will be prevented. Source of information: zamin.uz.
