A festive festival called “Melon Festival” was held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Intermarkt JUBY shopping center. Local residents as well as compatriots living and studying in Germany participated with their family members.
The festival lasted from morning until evening under the accompaniment of Uzbek national songs. Various types of sweet melons and watermelons from Uzbekistan were tasted with great interest by German consumers.
Guests enjoyed not only Uzbek fruits and vegetables but also received information about gastronomic tourism opportunities in our country. Additionally, an exhibition of national fabrics and traditional handicrafts was organized at the festival.
This provided Germans with an opportunity to get acquainted closely with Uzbek culture and art. The “Melon Festival” coincided with the fourth anniversary of the opening of the Intermarkt JUBY shopping center, and this date was also celebrated festively.
The festival held in Berlin not only widely promoted Uzbek melons but also contributed to strengthening cultural and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Germany. Source: Dunyo Information Agency.
