A new proposal is being discussed in Uzbekistan to support women and increase their activity in various fields. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the draft presidential decree, a special state award named “Zulfiya” is planned to be introduced in the field of medicine. These changes are intended to be included in Decree No. PF-2326.
This award is aimed at encouraging talented girls aged 14 to 30 who have achieved success in the medical field, conducted scientific research, or made a significant contribution to the community. Candidates are required to provide official documents confirming their work in medicine over the past three years, scientific articles, patents, or achievements in public activities.
Experts believe that this initiative will further motivate girls working in the medical field. This will not only serve to develop their personal potential but also strengthen scientific and practical developments in the country's healthcare system.
Additionally, the Committee on Family and Women has been tasked with preparing a proposal within three months to introduce relevant legislative amendments and additions, and to submit it to the Government. While the “Zulfiya” award has previously encouraged talented girls active in education, art, and social spheres, it will now also help expand women's participation in the medical field (source: zamin.uz).
