Cold and rainy weather expected in Uzbekistan at the beginning of the week
Weather experts report that significant changes are expected in our country in the new week. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The territory of Uzbekistan will remain under the influence of a high mountain cyclone formed in southern Kazakhstan. This will lead to the inflow of cold and humid air masses.

On September 15, there is a high probability of short-term rain and thunderstorms in some areas. In particular, rain may fall in the northern part of Navoi region during the first half of the day.

On the same day, in the evening and the following night, short-term rain and lightning are expected in some parts of Tashkent region. Residents of the Fergana Valley should prepare for rainy days lasting from the evening of September 16 until the morning of September 19.

No precipitation is expected in other regions. However, continuous rain is forecast throughout the week in foothill and high mountain areas, with heavy rainfall expected in some places.

It is also warned that in some high-altitude areas, rain may turn into snow. Temperatures will drop sharply.

From September 16 to 18, daytime temperatures will fall to 20–25 degrees Celsius, and starting from September 19, cool air masses will gradually retreat, causing temperatures to rise again by 2–3 degrees. These changes will be noticeable to the population.

Coolness will intensify in the early morning hours, and going outside in the evening without additional clothing may be uncomfortable. Wind speeds may increase sharply in some areas.

Across the republic, wind speeds are expected to reach 13–18 meters per second in some places. Strong winds may cause dust storms.

The weather in Tashkent city will be relatively comfortable. The air will be mostly dry, with only short-term rain possible on the night of September 15 and during the night and morning of September 16.

The wind will blow from the northeast at speeds of 3–8 meters per second, occasionally increasing to 10–12 meters per second. Temperatures will drop to 20–25 degrees on September 16–18 and rise again to 25–27 degrees on September 19.

Such sharp weather changes during the week may affect the lifestyle of the population. It is important for those engaged in fieldwork, drivers on the roads, and travelers in mountainous areas to pay special attention to safety measures.

Unexpected rain mixed with snow indicates that the autumn season is arriving earlier than usual with cold weather. Source: Uzbekhydromet press service.
