A youth innovation competition was held in Tashkent
A major event aimed at encouraging youth creativity and scientific potential was held in Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The winners of the republican competitions "Best Idea," "Best Project," and "Best Invention," as well as the recipients of the "El-yurt umidi" scholarship, were honored. This competition was conducted in three stages from May to July 2025.

A total of 1,262 participants under the age of 40 took part with their ideas and developments. Projects and ideas were evaluated based on innovative approach, practical applicability, effectiveness, and contribution to sustainable development.

The competition was held in the categories "Student," "Teacher," and "Practicing Engineer," with 28 winners identified. At the award ceremony, first-place winners were presented with BYD electric cars.

Second-place winners and the winner of the "Best Invention for Sustainable Development" received internship opportunities abroad with all expenses covered. Third-place winners were awarded cash prizes totaling 37.5 million soms.

The "El-yurt umidi" scholarship program is an important part of the long-term state strategy. Through this, a reformist generation is being prepared to implement the goals set in the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy.

In 2025, the scholarship competition was held based on updated requirements, with 173 young winners. Women made up 25 percent of them.

Additionally, for the first time, the "EYUF Awards 2025" competition was held. The best scholarship recipients were identified in seven nominations.

Among the nominations were "Model Scholar of the Year," "Best Academic Achievements of the Year," "Youngest Leading Scholar of the Year," and others. During the competition, state agencies and foreign missions that cooperated in creating opportunities for youth were also recognized.

This ceremony in Tashkent serves as a great source of inspiration for young engineers, highlighting special attention to innovation and scientific potential in the country. Young people are gaining the opportunity to contribute to the country's development with their ideas.
