Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev specially honored teachers who selflessly serve in the field of knowledge and enlightenment on the eve of Teachers and Mentors Day. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Billura Ikromova, who teaches English at School No. 38 in Romitan district of Bukhara region, was awarded a special gift by the head of state. Billura Ikromova is not only a role model for local students but also for village girls with her knowledge and experience.
She studied at the prestigious University of Reading in the United Kingdom and holds international certificates such as TESOL, ESOL, and IELTS (C1). Despite receiving high-paying job offers from major institutions and international organizations, she chose to serve her homeland and educate youth in remote villages.
On Billura Ikromova's initiative, mentoring programs for village girls were established, through which many young people are involved in foreign grants and educational programs. For her dedicated work, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gifted her a BYD Chazor car.
This event became a great source of inspiration not only for the teacher but for the entire community (source: zamin.uz).
