New infokiosks launched in Tashkent metro
New infokiosks have been launched for passengers in the Tashkent metro. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Now, modern infokiosks are being installed at all stations of the capital's metro. Currently, 24 such devices are operational, allowing passengers to purchase paper tickets with cash.

The infokiosks do not shred money during the payment process; if excess cash is inserted, the remaining amount is transferred to the passenger's mobile phone number. The project organizers plan to increase the number of infokiosks to 200 by the end of the year, thereby equipping all 50 metro stations with modern devices.

In the future, additional services such as payment for housing and communal services, mobile communication payments, and cash withdrawals from cards will be implemented through these infokiosks. This project is being carried out in cooperation between ATTO and Tashkent Metro, and one of the leading fintech companies — Alif.

According to experts, infokiosks play an important role in digitizing the system, providing prompt service to passengers, and saving time. It was also reported earlier that due to the reduction in the number of metro ticket offices, efforts are underway to retrain employees and direct them to new professions.

This indicates the expanding digital reforms in the transport sector. Source: zamin.uz
