
It was reported that during 2024, 7,354 individuals were held accountable for crimes related to corruption in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
By region, the highest number of corruption cases was recorded in Andijan region, with 882 cases identified. Namangan region recorded 877 cases, Tashkent region 697, Kashkadarya region 695, and Samarkand region 643 corruption crimes.
The lowest numbers were in Khorezm region with 157 cases, Jizzakh with 266, and Navoi with 366. These figures indicate that the issue of combating corruption remains a pressing and priority task in the country.
