This was announced during a special press tour organized for mass media and bloggers. In recent years, the number of foreign tourists visiting the country has increased significantly.
From January to July 2025, more than 7.4 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan, of whom approximately 950 thousand came specifically for tourism purposes. During this period, the tourism police fulfilled a number of important tasks, ensuring the safety of 257 international delegations.
Additionally, practical assistance was provided to over 67.7 thousand tourists, mainly in the areas of guidance and medical aid. Transport safety units also achieved significant results in their activities.
They solved 10 crimes, found 70 missing persons, and confiscated 405 dangerous items. The new regulation aims to further enhance security for tourists and local residents in the Chorvoq reservoir area.
