Li Je Myong supported North Korea's halt of nuclear production

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung emphasized that even if North Korea does not completely eliminate its nuclear weapons, temporarily halting their production would be a significant achievement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to him, North Korea produces dozens of new nuclear weapons every year. Therefore, temporarily freezing production is considered an important and realistic solution to ensure regional security.

Since being elected president in June, Lee Jae-myung has been trying to ease relations with the neighboring country. He noted that the previous leader's policies had intensified conflicts in the region.

Additionally, the South Korean leader stated that cooperation with the United States and Japan will continue. However, he expressed concern about the rapprochement between China, Russia, and North Korea.
