Additional selection opportunity created in higher education
A meeting of the state commission on admissions to educational institutions of Uzbekistan was held. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Important decisions were made regarding the further effective organization of the higher education system, creating broad opportunities for youth, and ensuring the principles of equality. The main innovation is that an additional selection will be held for vacant places in bachelor's degree programs.

This opportunity can be used by applicants who scored 56.7 points or higher in the entrance exams but were not recommended for enrollment or did not choose a higher education institution during the second registration phase. Through this, thousands of young people will have the chance to enter the university of their dreams.

Additionally, based on the results of the entrance exams, applicants are given the opportunity to study under a differentiated tuition contract. That is, more favorable conditions will be offered to candidates who scored higher points.

At the state commission meeting, state orders for foreign and non-governmental higher education institutions were approved. This will expand opportunities for youth to receive education that meets international standards.

Special attention was given to the youth of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, with additional grants and tuition contract places allocated to them. This is expected to be an important factor in meeting the demand for higher education among young people in this region.

Furthermore, quotas allocated for presidential grants were distributed by fields of education. The results of the competition for master's degree specialties at state higher education institutions were also officially approved.

Experts emphasize that these innovations are an important step in creating a fairer and more effective system for applicants. Opportunities for youth are increasing, opening new paths for their pursuit of knowledge and future success.
