The city of Tashkent currently ranks first among the most polluted cities in the world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The level of air pollution in the city is dangerous for breathing, especially in the Uchtepa and Olmazor districts where this indicator is at a high level. Experts advise the population to minimize time spent outdoors, keep windows closed, and wear masks or respirators when going outside.
Additionally, magnetic storms that occurred at the beginning of the week may cause discomfort such as headaches, increased blood pressure, and weakness. In the city of Qarshi, PM2.5 particles in the air were also recorded to exceed national standards by two to three times.
Air pollution is not only related to transport and industrial sectors but also significantly influenced by the use of construction materials, tree cutting, and reduction of green spaces. This situation negatively affects the city's ecology and the health of the population.
