Significant changes are being made in the disability classification system in our country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Previously, due to the lack of unified standards in this process, the absence of a digital system, and the dominance of human factors, various errors occurred in determining disability groups. Additionally, there were cases where patients with the same illness were assigned different disability groups.
To address these issues, the government is implementing the “Unified National Social Protection” information system. Through this system, based on the patient's medical data, the disability group, its duration, need for care assistance, rehabilitation tools, or prosthetics will be determined automatically without human intervention.
The new electronic system will initially be launched on a trial basis in Tashkent city and Navoi region by October 1, 2025. Later, it is planned to be widely implemented throughout the entire republic.
Furthermore, a list of main diseases for disability classification has been approved, and groups will be assigned solely based on this list using unified and standard criteria. This new system aims to make the disability determination process precise and fair (source: zamin.uz).
