In order to develop public transport in Tashkent city, the purchase of 200 electric buses and the necessary equipment to charge them is planned by 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the competition held within the framework of this project, the Chinese company Yutong won with the best offer. According to the contract signed with the company, the process of delivering the electric buses has begun.
The project is being implemented with the financial support of China’s Eximbank and “O‘zsanoatqurilishbank” joint-stock commercial bank. Currently, the first batch of 100 electric buses has been sent to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan via Khorgos.
All electric buses are planned to be delivered by the end of September this year. Detailed information about these updates can be found on the One.uz website.
