The problem of daily traffic congestion in the streets of Tashkent city requires serious attention. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Senator Erkin Gadoyev supported the issue of reducing queues and traffic jams in the capital and sent an official request to the Ministry of Transport. According to the information provided by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, at the beginning of the academic year, traffic in Tashkent significantly intensifies and at certain times the level of congestion reaches up to 10 points.
This situation reduces the time and efficiency of thousands of citizens coming to work, education, and the capital. According to statistical data, approximately 1 million people visit Tashkent daily, of which 275 thousand come from the Tashkent region.
Thousands of cars entering the capital from all parts of the region in the morning and returning in the evening further exacerbate the congestion problem. In his request, the senator asked the Ministry of Transport for information about the measures being taken to reduce traffic jams, the current state of the “Intelligent Transport” system, the implementation of tasks set by the president, and the reasons for delays.
Previously, Senator Kobul Tursunov sent a request to the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov regarding problems arising in the registration of IMEI codes. These initiatives are considered important steps aimed at improving road traffic and the movement of citizens in the capital.
