A 2.1 GW Nuclear Power Plant Will Be Built in Jizzakh

A combined nuclear power plant with a capacity of 2.1 gigawatts is planned to be constructed in the Jizzakh region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This plant will consist of two main reactors, each with a capacity of 1 gigawatt. Additionally, two auxiliary units will provide 55 megawatts each.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, this nuclear power plant will produce over 15 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually by 2035. This will play an important role in developing the region's industry.

The construction of the NPP will attract new investments to the Jizzakh region and expand production opportunities in sectors such as the automotive industry. At the same time, the improvement in electricity supply will stabilize the regional economy.
