
According to data from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics for January-August 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan has exceeded 7.5 million. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure is nearly 2.5 million higher compared to the same period last year, representing a 49.1 percent increase. Among the countries sending the most tourists, Kyrgyzstan leads with over 2 million visitors.
Additionally, citizens of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Russia have also come to Uzbekistan in large numbers. Tourists are also arriving from countries such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China, Turkey, India, and the Republic of Korea.
By purpose of travel, those visiting relatives make up the majority, with their number exceeding 5 million. The number of visitors coming for tourism purposes has also surpassed 1.1 million, indicating the development of the country's tourism sector.
