A bear fell from a cliff and died in Bostanlik
An investigation was conducted regarding the reports circulating on social media stating “A bear was brutally killed in Bostanlik.” This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The press service of the Tashkent region Ecology Department provided information on this matter. According to preliminary data, in the Qorong‘u-toqay section of the Burchmulla state forestry enterprise, it was found that a single Tien Shan brown bear fell from a cliff approximately 70-80 meters high.

The causes of the bear’s death are being studied by specialists from the Zoology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Until the experts’ conclusion is prepared, the bear’s body will be temporarily kept in the territory of the Burchmulla state forestry enterprise.

Based on the results of the examination, a legal assessment of the situation will be given. The Tashkent region Ecology Department reported that it has taken this situation under its control.
