Digital technologies are rapidly developing in Uzbekistan, and the level of internet usage among the population has reached a record high. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee for January-August 2025, the share of internet users among the country's population reached 94.2 percent. This indicator is the result of improvements in internet infrastructure and the expansion of digital services in recent years.
For example, the internet usage rate was 76.6 percent in 2021, rising to 83.9 percent in 2022. In 2023, 89 percent of the population was connected to the internet, and in 2024, coverage reached 93.3 percent.
Thus, over the last four years, internet coverage has increased by nearly 18 percent. This growth reflects not only technological development but also people's interest in digital services and their active use.
Experts emphasize that high internet activity is creating new opportunities in education, commerce, information exchange, and service sectors. The gradual digitization of government services is also providing greater convenience for citizens.
According to analysts, approaching 100 percent internet usage will stimulate further popularization of the digital economy and online services. Especially for the younger generation, this opens the door to new opportunities.
Therefore, the fact that internet coverage in Uzbekistan has reached 94.2 percent is considered an important step on the country's path to digital development (National Statistics Committee, 2025).
