Several stations in the Tashkent metro, including those on the overground ring line commemorating the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, were temporarily closed due to special maintenance works. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These stations are planned to reopen in October 2025. This information was provided by the official Tashkent metro sources.
During the maintenance works, technical and repair activities were carried out at the stations. As a test, trains were operated without passengers, and currently, the testing process is nearing successful completion.
The special maintenance works were conducted from August 2, 2025, on the route from "Technopark" to "Yangiobod". To avoid inconvenience to passengers during the station closures, a metrobus service was introduced from "Technopark" to "Qipchoq".
Metrobuses are high-capacity buses providing free service. After the works are completed, the Tashkent metro will restore train operations through the stations to provide continuous and rapid service to passengers.
This serves to ensure updated infrastructure conditions. With the reopening of the metro, each station will restore its independent route and all questions will be clarified.
The Tashkent metro is an important part of the capital's transport system, and its development helps improve the quality of transport services. At the same time, the metro and modern bus systems are integrated to create convenience for users.
This contributes to the further improvement of the country's transport system. Source: Official announcement of the Tashkent metro, 2025.
