According to Oleg Pekos, the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Development of Uzbekistan, the country is creating a centralized data repository and a unified architecture for temporary storage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These systems are called Data Warehouse and Data Lakehouse. He spoke about this during a panel discussion within the Digital Bridge forum held in Astana city.
According to Pekos, all data stored in these systems will be free and open to the public. Additionally, a tender has recently been announced in Uzbekistan for the construction of a large artificial intelligence cluster.
He invited companies participating in the forum to take part in this tender. Previously, a small artificial intelligence cluster operated in the country.
Furthermore, Oleg Pekos shared his views on the e-government system. According to him, Uzbekistan has not chosen the path of creating a super-app because all government services are conveniently accessible through the mobile applications of banks and payment systems.
He emphasized that government services should be in the hands of every citizen. Source: kursiv.media.
