
The energy system in Uzbekistan is being prepared for the autumn-winter season. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Energy, within the framework of seasonal preparation, round-the-clock shifts have been organized at the ministry and its affiliated enterprises. All necessary measures are being taken in all directions to ensure smooth operation throughout the season.
In the field of electric energy, it is planned to produce 85.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity by 2025. This figure is 4 billion kilowatt-hours more compared to 2024.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 7 thousand kilometers of electric networks and 1,731 transformer points have been renovated. In addition, the electricity supply of over 800 thousand households in 954 communities has been improved.
During the winter season, electricity consumption is expected to reach 290-300 million kilowatt-hours per day, which is slightly higher than in the summer season. By the end of 2025, 3,000 megawatts of solar and wind energy, 1,167 megawatts of thermal energy, and 1,500 megawatts of energy storage systems will be launched.
Significant work has also been carried out in the field of gas supply. A total of 538 kilometers of gas networks have been renovated, and 951 gas distribution points have been modernized.
464 thousand tons of liquefied gas have been delivered to the population, and an additional 199 thousand tons of gas delivery is planned by the end of the year. Furthermore, a reserve of more than 29 thousand additional gas cylinders has been established.
