Mirziyoyev congratulated Rahmon on his birthday

During the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted Emomali Rahmon's important role in strengthening Tajikistan's independence, ensuring economic progress, and enhancing the country's reputation on the international stage.
According to him, the determined policy and patriotic activities of the Tajik leader are of great importance for the entire region. President Mirziyoyev emphasized Emomali Rahmon's personal contribution to strengthening friendly and strategic cooperation relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
During the telephone conversation, the two heads of state discussed pressing areas of mutual cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations, as well as further enhancing the atmosphere of friendship and mutual trust between the peoples. The parties agreed to form a new agenda for practical cooperation and to coordinate the plans for upcoming bilateral and multilateral high-level events.
Emomali Rahmon was born on October 5, 1952, and has served as the President of Tajikistan since 1994. Under his leadership, the country has achieved socio-economic stability and actively participates in regional cooperation.
In recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have developed significantly. The ongoing dialogue between Presidents Mirziyoyev and Rahmon serves to bring the two neighboring peoples closer, expand economic cooperation, and improve the living standards of the population in border areas.
