In Uzbekistan, one-time grants were paid to parents of newborn babies in September. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the National Agency for Social Protection, more than 28 thousand parents received a one-time grant this month on the occasion of the birth of their child. In total, in September, one-time benefit payments amounting to 47.9 billion soums were made to 40.6 thousand citizens.
Of this, 25.6 billion soums were allocated as newborn grants to 28,784 parents. Additionally, 22.3 billion soums in benefits were paid to 11,827 citizens for the burial of their relatives.
To receive the newborn grant, within six months after the child's birth, the father or mother can apply to any branch of “Xalq Bank” with identity documents or submit an application online via the “Xazna” mobile app. Burial benefits are paid in a similar manner, based on the death certificate issued by the civil status registration office.
However, if the applicant does not have the right, is declared legally incapable by the court, or more than 60 days have passed since the death was registered, the payment will not be made. Currently, the official amount of the newborn grant is 893,513 soums, and the burial benefit is 1,884,000 soums.
Previously, information circulated on social networks claiming that the newborn grant was being paid in amounts less than the established sum. The National Agency denied these reports and confirmed that payments are being made according to the established procedure.
