In 2025, there are 4.2 million pensioners in Uzbekistan
According to data from the Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance, as of October 1, 2025, the number of pensioners in Uzbekistan reached 4,241,800. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This figure represents the total number of pensioners in the country. Of these, more than 3.5 million receive old-age pensions, 482,100 receive disability pensions, and 245,600 families receive pensions due to the loss of their breadwinner.

By region, the highest number of pensioners is in the Fergana region, where 500,800 individuals are registered. In the Samarkand region, there are 451,600 pensioners, while Tashkent city and region have 380,400 and 383,100 pensioners respectively.

The lowest number of pensioners is in the Syrdarya region, where pensions are paid to 108,900 citizens. Officials emphasize that the demographic situation and labor market conditions in the regions affect the number of pensioners.

At the same time, the digitization and automation of pension payments are ongoing. This process aims to create greater convenience for beneficiaries and ensure transparency in the payment system.

Starting from October, the process of receiving pensions in cash is carried out through biometric Face-ID verification. These changes serve to make the pension system more efficient and secure (Source: Pension Fund, Ministry of Finance).
