The first certification body accredited with international “Halal” status has started operating in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Uzbekistan Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center, this body was established within the center and has been recognized by Turkey’s “Halal Accreditation Agency” as an organization meeting international standards.
This is an important step for enterprises wishing to obtain the “halal” certificate. Experts believe that the “halal” certificate will create significant opportunities for exporting Uzbek products, especially to Islamic countries.
According to statistical data, the “halal” food market volume is estimated at 2 trillion dollars, while the “halal” tourism market is valued at around 400 billion dollars. The establishment of this certification body will give new impetus to the development of the “halal” products and services sector in our country.
