
On October 17 of this year, a meeting of the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States will commence in the city of Samarkand. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This meeting is being organized in our country for the first time. The event will be attended by the heads of security and intelligence services from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The meeting will be chaired by the head of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan, Colonel General B. Qurbonov. During the event, participants will exchange views on modern threats and challenges and discuss the next tasks to further strengthen cooperation among the intelligence services of the CIS countries.
The venue and agenda of the event were determined at the 20th anniversary meeting held in Moscow on November 26, 2024. At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of delegations will define specific tasks and priority directions for cooperation aimed at ensuring regional security.
