A new system will be introduced for setting wages

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev set important tasks to further improve the wage payment system during a meeting with representatives of trade unions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Until now, the minimum wage was mainly determined based on calculations by government agencies. However, starting from 2026, the Federation of Trade Unions, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Confederation of Employers will also be involved in this process.

The new approach aims to better protect employees' interests, create a fair wage system, and ensure stability in the labor market. Additionally, the president emphasized that human dignity is not only about wages but also that social factors such as housing, education, healthcare, and transportation are of great importance.

These measures will serve to implement innovations and reforms in the labor sector (source: zamin.uz).
