In Uzbekistan, disputes between citizens and entrepreneurs can now be resolved through mediation without going to court. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This method allows disputes to be settled faster and with lower costs. According to the new law, agreements reached during the mediation process can be enforced by the court if they are not voluntarily fulfilled.
To do this, an application must be submitted within six months after the mediation agreement is concluded. Additionally, if a mediator acts against the law or ethics, disciplinary measures will be applied against them.
This system helps reduce the workload in courts and ensures disputes are resolved in a civilized and peaceful manner. These changes are important for increasing the legal awareness of citizens and provide an opportunity to conclude disputes fairly and promptly.
