
Tomorrow, on October 23, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will make an official visit to Brussels, the capital of Belgium. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by the press service of the head of state, this visit is being made at the invitation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. In Brussels, President Mirziyoyev will hold bilateral talks with the heads of the leading institutions of the European Union.
The meetings will discuss the implementation of agreements reached at the recent summit held in Samarkand. Additionally, there will be an exchange of views on further developing cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, energy, as well as science and education.
During the visit, it is expected that a new agreement on enhanced partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union will be signed. Furthermore, President Mirziyoyev will meet with the leadership of Belgium and heads of European companies and banks to discuss joint projects in the fields of industry and technology.
