President visited Imam Bukhari complex
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Samarkand on October 30 to participate in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Within the framework of this visit, the head of state visited the Imam Bukhari complex. According to tradition, first the Imam Bukhari mausoleum was visited, the Quran was recited, and prayers were offered.

The President reviewed the construction and landscaping works carried out at the complex. This complex was rebuilt on the initiative of the head of state, and all conveniences were created for visitors.

The territory of the complex was expanded, and its total area reached 44 hectares. Within the framework of new projects, a revered mausoleum, a mosque for 10,000 people, an administrative building, a museum, entrance and exit porticos were constructed and completed.

Four 75-meter-high minarets were installed on the complex territory, giving it a special grandeur. The newly established museum in the complex provides information about Imam Bukhari’s life and scientific heritage.

Additionally, here information is provided about the history of 25 prophets mentioned by name in the Holy Quran, the genealogy of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his life in Mecca and Medina, as well as a collection of hadiths. The construction of a hotel and other service buildings around the pilgrimage site is in its final stage.

Here, one four-star, two three-star, and 22 family hotels have been established. The head of state gave instructions to further improve the complex’s activities, expand conveniences for people, and increase green spaces.

With good intentions, tree seedlings were planted in the complex area. Source: Zamin.uz
