
Messages have been circulating on social networks claiming that electricity payments will not be processed from October 30 to November 5. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These claims are not true. Some channels reported that due to the electricity networks' billing system transitioning to a new program, payments would not be accepted for 7 days and debtors might be left without electricity supply.
However, “Regional Electric Networks” completely denied these reports as baseless. According to the company's official statement, no transition to any new billing system is currently underway.
The electricity payment system is operating as usual, and consumers can carry out all transactions without interruption. Additionally, “Regional Electric Networks” urged citizens to trust only information from official sources and not to spread unconfirmed reports.
Misinterpretation of information or spreading false news can cause unwarranted concern in society. Therefore, citizens should always refer to reliable sources.
