The price of meat has significantly increased in the Uzbekistan market. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Uz24 website, since the beginning of the year, the price of beef has risen by 23 percent. This issue was discussed at a press conference held on October 24 with the participation of Timur Ishmetov, Chairman of the Central Bank Board.
According to Ishmetov, although the overall inflation rate decreased to 8 percent in September, the prices of socially important goods remain high. In particular, during the year, the price of beef increased by 23.2 percent, averaging 108,000 soums per kilogram.
Additionally, the price of potatoes rose by 18.5 percent, and the price of gasoline increased by 11.8 percent. To stabilize prices, the government is implementing certain measures in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies.
In the future, to keep inflation at a low level, attention is being focused on strengthening competition in the domestic market, reducing tariff and non-tariff restrictions, ensuring uninterrupted supply of energy resources, and developing transport infrastructure. These measures are expected to ensure economic stability and maintain the stability of prices for essential goods.
