Damage worth 99 billion soums caused to the energy system
According to the press service of the Energy Control Inspection of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Energoinspeksiya), cases of illegal use of energy resources are being identified in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

To detect and prevent these cases, Energoinspeksiya employees, together with law enforcement agencies and other relevant authorities, are conducting control measures. During the inspections carried out in October of this year, damage amounting to 99 billion soums was recorded to the country's energy system.

During this period, 192 cases related to illegal use of energy resources by consumers were identified. In particular, 22.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were consumed illegally, causing damage worth 63.9 billion soums.

Additionally, 11.4 million cubic meters of natural gas were illegally used, resulting in losses of 35 billion soums. A total of 479 administrative cases were initiated related to violations of the rules for the use of energy resources.

Documents on all identified cases have been submitted to the relevant law enforcement agencies. Now, these agencies will conduct additional investigations and provide a legal assessment of the actions of individuals who illegally used energy resources.
