There has been a change in leadership at the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center, which is engaged in the development of education in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Yuliya Risukova has been appointed as the new head of this center. She replaced Vokhid Hamidov, who had been serving in this position since June 2023.
Hamidov was relieved of his duties in accordance with a presidential decree. On November 4, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Khilola Umarova met with the center’s team and introduced the new leader.
She also provided information about the priority tasks set by the head of state. Umarova emphasized the necessity of effectively implementing new projects in the field of education in cooperation with relevant organizations.
For reference, this center was established in April 2023 on the initiative of the president. The main tasks of the center include developing educational standards, preparing curricula and programs, as well as publishing educational and methodological complexes for preschool, general secondary, and extracurricular education systems.
Within the framework of education reforms, special management courses have been introduced in Uzbekistan for candidates for the position of school principal. The appointment of candidates who successfully complete these courses is approved by the Board of Directors.
This initiative is aimed at improving management skills in educational institutions.
