
Uzbekistan has joined the United Nations Protocol on Water and Health. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was recognized as significant for the country. The document unites 29 countries and serves to improve water supply, sanitation, and hygiene systems.
In this regard, Olga Mirshina, a specialist from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, shared her views. She emphasized that climate change and water resource issues are having a considerable impact on our country.
The adoption of the Protocol was noted to play an important role, particularly in implementing sanitation and hygiene rules in public places. This document is recognized as the only international legal agreement that unites the fields of ecology, water resources, and health care.
