The number of railway passengers has exceeded 8 million

According to the data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, over 8.1 million passengers were transported by rail transport from January to September 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This is 957.2 thousand more than during the same period last year. This indicator shows a steady increase in the number of passengers transported by rail.

Based on statistical data calculations, an average of 29.8 thousand passengers used railway services daily during this period. Experts believe that this situation is related to the activation of domestic tourism and the convenience of the transport infrastructure in the country.

Such development in the railway transport sector not only meets the population's transportation needs but also positively impacts economic growth. The convenient and safe service system is observed to increase passengers' trust in railways.
