The Ministry of Justice has updated the payment procedure for studying on a contract basis at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The document related to this update has been registered by the ministry, and some of its provisions were published on the Telegram page. According to the new procedure, first-year students must pay at least 25 percent of the contract fee by mid-September.
Senior students, on the other hand, must make this payment by early October. Additionally, 50 percent of the contract amount should be paid by January, 75 percent by March 1, and the full payment must be completed by May 1.
The State Commission has the right to extend these deadlines. Contract funds are directed towards improving the qualifications of young teachers and researchers.
Furthermore, financially needy students may receive financial assistance from higher education institutions. This assistance can amount to up to six minimum wages per student per year.
This procedure is aimed at expanding students' opportunities to receive education.
