The head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, put forward a number of proposals to strengthen environmental control at a meeting on the ecological situation in Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the head of state reported this. The meeting discussed issues of strengthening requirements for construction works and tree planting in the country.
It was also announced that a system for monitoring air quality in Tashkent is planned to be established. These measures will be included in the draft decree to be considered by the head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the meeting, factors causing air pollution in the capital and measures to reduce negative impacts on public health were discussed. Saida Mirziyoyeva proposed systemic solutions that need to be implemented urgently to prevent recurrence of the situation.
According to her, human health should be a priority issue equally for the state and business. According to climatologist Erkin Abdullakhadov, starting from November 27, air quality in the country is expected to improve due to changes in air flows.
However, as of 08:52 on the morning of November 25, the air quality in Tashkent was assessed as harmful. It was noted that the main cause of air pollution is PM2.5 particles.
