The procedure for temporarily not restricting the departure abroad of persons indebted in alimony payments has been approved in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This procedure applies if the citizen has special civil liability insurance. These changes were proposed by the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Security Service.
According to the new procedure, persons obliged to pay alimony who plan to travel abroad for up to three months and have an insurance policy issued will not be subject to restrictions. This insurance serves to cover the risk of the debtor failing to fulfill alimony payments.
Information about the existence of the insurance policy is automatically determined through the integration of information systems of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau and the Advanced Projects Agency. Insurance can only be issued by companies licensed for this activity.
The insurance terms are established based on a special agreement between insurance organizations and the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau. This procedure is officially registered with the Ministry of Justice under number 3196-2.
