According to the Migration Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the activities of private employment agencies will now be regulated based on clear financial guarantees. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This innovation was introduced to protect the rights and interests of citizens, ensure safety, and enhance transparency in the employment system. According to the new regulation, before starting their activities, each private employment agency must deposit an amount equivalent to 4,000 times the minimum wage into a special deposit account at a commercial bank.
This amount serves as a guarantee to protect citizens from financial losses in case of violations or unauthorized actions by the agency. The Migration Agency emphasizes that the funds in the deposit will be strictly controlled and cannot be used without the agency's consent.
If the funds are spent without permission, there will be a requirement to fully restore the amount within the specified period. These funds are held based on a special agreement between the bank, the Migration Agency, and the private employment agency.
This clearly defines the rights and obligations of each party. If a private employment agency commits violations and causes harm to citizens, the Migration Agency will send a justified request to the bank.
The bank will then withdraw the necessary amount from the deposit and transfer it to the Migration Fund. This mechanism serves to guarantee the protection of citizens' rights.
The main goal of this regulation is to make the activities of private employment agencies lawful and responsible, protect citizens who wish to work abroad from fraud, and strengthen control in the sector.
