The number of foreign students in Uzbekistan increased by 51.5%
In 2025, the number of foreign students coming to Uzbekistan for studies increased significantly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, from January to October 2025, 33,287 foreign citizens started their education in Uzbekistan. This figure increased by 51.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

The highest number of students came from India. A total of 14,322 students from this country visited Uzbekistan for educational purposes.

This number accounts for almost half of the total number of foreign students. It is emphasized that Indian students show great interest in Uzbekistan's education system and opportunities, with positive opinions playing a significant role.

Additionally, many students come from neighboring countries. 8,348 students from Turkmenistan, 2,323 from Tajikistan, and 1,620 from Pakistan have chosen to study in Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, students also come from countries such as China, South Korea, and Kyrgyzstan. These figures indicate that Uzbekistan's education system is becoming increasingly popular internationally.
