Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a ceremony to launch 42 energy facilities and officially started the construction of 21 new enterprises. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The President's press service reported on this. At the event, the head of state emphasized that these projects will contribute to the country's economic growth and create new opportunities for future generations.
According to the President, within the framework of these projects, solar power plants with a capacity of 107 MW are being constructed using Chinese experience. These energy projects will enable the provision of environmentally friendly energy to the needy segments of the population.
Additionally, citizens will have the opportunity to sell surplus electricity they generate. Local entrepreneurs launched micro-hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 40 MW this year, producing 120 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
By 2026, it is planned to launch new stations with even higher capacity. These stations will provide electricity to 80,000 households.
These projects are aimed at strengthening the country's energy independence and increasing the share of "green" energy.
